Great Lakes Firearms and Ammunition GL10 LA Features The Great Lakes Firearms GL10 LA is built on a long action AR-10 footprint specifically to house the .270 Winchester cartridge giving hunters a semi-automatic platform with the ballistic reach traditionally associated with bolt-action rifles. Its 24 inch stainless steel barrel is cut with 5R rifling and a 1 in 10 twist rate a combination chosen to stabilize .270 Winchester bullets for accurate consistent long-range performance. A 5/8x24 stainless steel muzzle brake is threaded onto the barrel to reduce felt recoil and keep the sight picture settled between shots an important feature on a semi-automatic rifle chambered in a hard-hitting hunting cartridge. Billet aluminum upper and lower receivers give the GL10 LA the rigidity and precision fit that billet construction is known for compared to forged alternatives. A 20 inch M-Lok aluminum handguard with an upper Picatinny rail provides a stable accessory-ready mounting platform for optics lights or other equipment the hunter wants to add. The Hogue fixed rifle stock delivers a secure ergonomic cheek weld while a mil-spec trigger breaking between 5.5 and 6 pounds offers a predictable repeatable pull for field accuracy. Feeding from a Great Lakes Firearms and Ammunition custom aluminum 5 round magazine the rifle is purpose built around a capacity appropriate for big game hunting rather than high volume shooting. Finished in a Sniper Grey Cerakote over a bi-tone metal finish and weighing 9.9 pounds the Great Lakes Firearms GL10 LA gives hunters a distinctive capable AR-10 platform chambered in a proven big game cartridge.
