Great Lakes Firearms and Ammunition GL10 Features The Great Lakes Firearms GL10 is built around a 24 superior quality 416R stainless steel barrel with 5R rifling and a 1:10 twist rate delivering the accuracy and bullet stabilization needed for long range hunting in .270 Winchester. Double thermally stress relieved and air gauged for consistency the barrel is threaded 5/8x24 and fitted with a stainless steel muzzle brake to help manage recoil from this hard hitting cartridge. The billet aluminum upper and lower receivers are finished in Bronze Cerakote over a black oxide gas block giving the rifle a distinctive two tone appearance. A mil-spec trigger breaking between 5.5 and 6 lbs gives hunters a consistent predictable let off on a shot that matters. The 20 inch M-LOK handguard with an upper Picatinny rail gives shooters room to mount optics lights or a bipod for field use while the Hogue overmolded fixed rifle stock provides a comfortable non-slip cheek weld for precise shot placement. A standard mil-spec grip rounds out the ergonomics for right hand shooters. Feeding from a 5 round Great Lakes Firearms and Ammunition custom aluminum magazine the GL10 gives hunters the capacity needed for a quick follow up shot on game. At 9.25 lbs the rifle carries the weight expected of a long range capable AR-10 platform without becoming unwieldy in the field.
