Great Lakes Firearms and Ammunition GL10 Features The Great Lakes Firearms GL10 takes the familiar AR-10 footprint and builds it around the .270 Win cartridge giving hunters a semi-automatic long action rifle with proven big game performance. The 24 inch barrel is machined from 416R stainless steel with 5R rifling and a 1:10 twist rate a combination built for consistent accuracy at hunting distances. A 5/8x24 threaded stainless steel muzzle brake comes installed to help tame recoil and keep the rifle on target for faster follow up shots. Billet aluminum upper and lower receivers provide a rigid foundation for the action machined to tight tolerances for reliable cycling. A 20 inch aluminum M-LOK handguard with an upper Picatinny rail gives hunters room to mount optics lights and other accessories along the full length of the forend. The rifle ships with a Hogue fixed rifle stock in black chosen for its comfortable cheek weld and recoil management in a hard hitting caliber. A custom bolt carrier group and a .750 inch rifle length gas block round out the internal components for reliable function. The Great Lakes Firearms and Ammunition custom aluminum 5-round magazine feeds the action and is designed specifically for this rifle platform. Finished in a bi-tone combination with the metal in a colored Cerakote and the GL10 wrapped in Pursuit Green camo this rifle is built to blend into the field while standing up to the elements. A mil-spec trigger with a 5.5 to 6 pound pull gives hunters a familiar predictable break shot after shot. At 9.9 pounds the rifle carries enough weight to help manage recoil without becoming unwieldy to carry during a hunt.
