Apex Ammunition Greenleaf Blend Features The Apex Ammunition Greenleaf Blend is built around a tungsten super shot payload that packs significantly more pellets into the same payload weight compared to traditional lead shot. The number 9 and number 10 shot blend creates an ultra consistent hard hitting spread by using the smaller number 10 pellets to fill the natural gaps left between larger pellets in the pattern. This higher pellet density translates directly into more pellets striking a turkey s vital head and neck area at extended range where pattern thinning normally costs hunters clean kills. In .410 gauge the 7/8 ounce payload delivers approximately 396 pellets a dramatic increase over what a comparable lead load could carry in the same shell. Loaded in a 3 inch .410 shell the Greenleaf Blend is built for hunters who want to push the limits of sub gauge turkey hunting without sacrificing pattern performance. The tungsten super shot material is denser than lead allowing Apex to load smaller shot sizes that still carry enough energy to anchor a turkey at distance. Sold in boxes of 5 rounds this load is intended for hunters who have patterned their shotgun and choke combination and are ready to take it afield. For turkey hunters running a .410 platform the Greenleaf Blend offers a dense consistent pattern that extends the gun s effective range.
