Apex Ammunition Dove Stratified L3 Features The Apex Ammunition Dove Stratified load layers #7 and #8 LA^3 high-antimony lead shot in a single 20 gauge shell giving hunters a pattern built for the unpredictable ranges dove present in the field. The harder rounder pellets that come from the high-antimony alloy are designed to reduce deformation during firing which helps produce more consistent circular patterns downrange. Combining two shot sizes lets the load perform well on both close decoying birds and longer passing shots without switching shells. This stratified approach reflects Apex s focus on solving real field problems rather than offering a single generic load. The 3 hull holds a full 1-1/8 oz payload giving the shell enough shot volume to back up the added pattern coverage from the dual shot sizes. This configuration steps up from Apex s standard 2.75 dove loads for hunters who want extra payload and reach from their 20 gauge shotguns. Sold in a 25-round box this load gives hunters a practical supply for a day in the dove field. For 20 gauge hunters who want a single shell engineered for changing distances and presentations the Apex Dove Stratified load delivers dependable performance.
