Apex Ammunition Target Stratified L3 Features The Apex Ammunition Target Stratified L3 load layers number 7 and number 8 high antimony L3 lead shot within a single 2.75 inch 20 gauge shell giving hunters a blend tuned for both close and extended range opportunities. The harder rounder pellets that define L3 lead shot are built to improve pattern efficiency over standard soft lead producing more consistent coverage at the edges of the pattern. At 7/8 ounce and a stated 1250 fps the load balances recoil and performance for a day of repeated shots in the field. Boxer primed and packed in a plastic hull the shell cycles reliably through semi-automatic and pump shotguns alike. This stratified approach means the shot column is doing double duty with the layered sizes helping produce effective patterns whether a bird flushes close or passes well out in front. Lighter recoil from the 7/8 ounce payload keeps shooters comfortable through a full box without fatigue setting in early. Each box holds 25 rounds giving hunters enough volume for a full outing without needing to restock mid hunt.
