Apex Ammunition Waterfowl Features The Apex Ammunition Waterfowl TSS/S3 load blends two shot types into a single shell combining the Apex S3 steel shot formulation with a quarter ounce of true Tungsten Super Shot in a number 7.5 size. This duplex approach maximizes pattern density at typical waterfowl ranges since the smaller denser TSS pellets fill gaps that a single shot size load often leaves open. The larger number 2 steel pellets retain enough mass and energy to anchor birds cleanly at extended range working in tandem with the TSS to help virtually eliminate cripples. Loaded in 20 gauge with a 3 inch shell length this load is built for shooters running lighter waterfowl guns without sacrificing terminal performance. Each shell carries 1-1/8 ounces of shot leaving the muzzle at 1250 feet per second a velocity chosen to balance pattern consistency with manageable recoil. A plastic hull and boxer primer keep the shell reliable across a range of environmental conditions encountered in the duck blind. Packaged 25 rounds to a box this load gives waterfowl hunters enough rounds for an extended day in the field. For hunters who demand the added reach and pattern density that Tungsten Super Shot provides the Apex Ammunition Waterfowl TSS/S3 load delivers genuine performance where it counts.
