Apex Ammunition Dove Stratified L3 Features The Apex Ammunition Dove Stratified load layers #7 and #8 LA^3 high-antimony lead shot in a single 20 gauge shell giving hunters a pattern built for the unpredictable ranges dove present in the field. The harder rounder pellets from the high-antimony alloy are designed to resist deformation during firing producing more consistent circular patterns downrange than standard soft lead shot. Combining two shot sizes lets the load perform well on both close decoying birds and longer passing shots without switching shells. This balanced 2.75 configuration reflects Apex s approach of engineering loads around the real challenges of the dove field. The 1 oz payload in the 2.75 hull keeps the shell light and easy to carry in volume for a full day of shooting while still delivering the layered shot benefit. This configuration is the balanced counterpart to Apex s larger 3 dove offering giving hunters a lighter-recoiling option for extended range sessions or a full field day. Sold in a 25-round box this load gives hunters a practical supply for a morning or evening hunt. For 20 gauge hunters who want a comfortable-shooting stratified load for dove season the Apex Dove Stratified 2.75 delivers dependable field-tested performance.
