Birchwood Casey Premium Carbon Cleaning Rod Features The Birchwood Casey Premium Carbon Cleaning Rod uses a one-piece carbon construction that eliminates the joints and flex points found in sectional rods keeping the rod rigid and true as it travels the length of a 36 inch shotgun barrel. Dual ball bearings built into the handle let the rod spin freely as a brush or jag follows the rifling or bore pattern which keeps cleaning tools tracking naturally instead of dragging against the bore surface. That reduced drag translates to less wear on both the rod and the barrel s interior finish over years of use. Shotgun owners cleaning 10 12 16 or 20 gauge barrels get a single rod that fits every gauge in that range. A perfect fit aluminum handle gives a secure comfortable grip during extended cleaning sessions and the black and red finish makes the rod easy to spot in a range bag or cleaning kit. Birchwood Casey has built shooting and gun care products since 1948 and this rod reflects that long history of durable field-proven design. Because it is a one-piece rod rather than a multi-section kit there is no risk of a joint coming loose and scratching the bore mid-cleaning. This cleaning rod is a straightforward upgrade for any shotgun owner who wants dependable long-term performance from their cleaning kit.
