Birchwood Casey Premium Carbon Cleaning Rod Features The Birchwood Casey Premium Carbon Cleaning Rod is built specifically for firearms in the .17 to .20 caliber range ensuring a proper fit that reduces the risk of bore contact damage. Carbon construction gives the rod the strength needed to push through stubborn fouling while remaining lighter than traditional steel rods. This lighter weight makes extended cleaning sessions less fatiguing particularly when maintaining multiple rifles in a single sitting. The rod s rigidity also helps maintain a straight path through the bore reducing wear on the rifling. At 36 inches long the rod provides enough reach to fully clean rifle length barrels from breech to muzzle without needing extensions. This length makes it well suited to bolt action and other small caliber rifles commonly chambered in .17 and .20 cartridges. The carbon material is also resistant to the corrosion that can affect traditional metal rods over time with repeated use and solvent exposure. The Birchwood Casey Premium Carbon Cleaning Rod gives rimfire and small caliber rifle owners a dedicated durable tool for keeping their barrels in top condition.
