Birchwood Casey Premium Carbon Cleaning Rod Features The Birchwood Casey Premium Carbon Cleaning Rod is constructed as a single one-piece rod from premium carbon material giving it the strength and rigidity needed to push brushes jags and patches through a rifle bore without excessive flex. Its 36-inch length is sized to clear most rifle barrels in a single pass reducing the back-and-forth needed compared to shorter sectioned rods. Covering calibers from .22 up through .264 the rod serves a broad range of popular rimfire and centerfire rifle bores with one tool. Carbon construction also keeps the rod lightweight making it easier to control and store compared to heavier steel rod designs. A perfect fit aluminum handle is built into the design specifically to pair with dual ball bearings allowing the carbon rod to rotate smoothly as it follows the rifling through the bore. This rotating action helps prevent the rod from dragging against and wearing the rifling a detail that matters for shooters focused on preserving barrel accuracy over the long term. Birchwood Casey has built shooting and gun care products since 1948 and this rod reflects that long history of dedicated firearm maintenance gear. For shooters and gunsmiths who want a durable precision cleaning rod built specifically for smaller caliber rifle bores the Birchwood Casey Premium Carbon Cleaning Rod is a dependable choice.
