Birchwood Casey Premium Carbon Cleaning Rod Features The Birchwood Casey Premium Carbon Cleaning Rod is constructed from premium carbon material giving it the strength and durability needed to stand up to regular bore maintenance. Carbon construction resists the flexing and binding that can occur with lesser rods helping keep the rod centered in the bore and reducing the risk of contacting the rifling. This matters most on .22 caliber bores where a stiff true rod helps protect the crown and lands during cleaning. The rod is purpose built for handgun use in .22 caliber firearms. At 12 inches long the rod offers extended reach for pushing patches brushes or jags fully through the bore in a single pass. That length is sized specifically for the .22 caliber platforms it is designed to service keeping the tool compact and easy to store in a range bag or cleaning kit. Finished in a Red and Black color scheme the rod is easy to identify among other cleaning gear. Shooters who maintain .22 caliber handguns get a dedicated durable tool built for the job.
