Sierra Pro-Hunter Features The Sierra Pro-Hunter bullet is engineered around a .4515 inch diameter a purpose-built dimension that makes it especially well suited to the popular .450 Bushmaster cartridge and similar large-bore rifle platforms. Its flat nose design is optimized for smooth reliable feeding through a variety of actions an important consideration for hunters who need confidence in every chambering during a hunt. A G1 ballistic coefficient of .164 combined with a sectional density of .182 gives this 260 grain projectile the balance of mass and shape needed for deep controlled penetration on game. The flat nose geometry also promotes rapid dramatic energy transfer on impact which is exactly what big game hunters look for at moderate ranges. Reloaders assembling their own .450 Bushmaster ammunition will find this jacketed lead bullet delivers dependable expansion across a range of game sizes from whitetail deer to larger animals like boar and bear. The 260 grain weight strikes a practical balance between retained energy and manageable recoil for repeat accurate shot placement. Sierra s reputation for consistent bullet-to-bullet quality means each 100-count box delivers uniform accuracy and expansion characteristics from the first round to the last. This is a component bullet for reloading only not a loaded cartridge and it is intended for handloaders who want proven big game performance in a compact hard-hitting package.
