Sierra Tipped GameKing Features The Sierra Tipped GameKing bullet pairs a polymer tip with a boat-tail base a combination designed to improve the ballistic coefficient over Sierra s earlier GameKing bullets. This .25 caliber .257 inch diameter projectile weighs 131 grains giving hand loaders a proven weight for medium to big game hunting applications. The polymer tip initiates expansion reliably at impact while helping the bullet resist deformation during feeding and in the magazine which supports both accuracy and terminal performance. Jacketed lead construction further ensures controlled expansion and consistent weight retention through a variety of impact velocities keeping the bullet performing predictably whether the shot comes at close range or well beyond it. Sierra built the Tipped GameKing as an evolution of its well-known GameKing line carrying forward decades of bullet-making expertise into a more aerodynamic hunting projectile. The sleek pointed profile flattens trajectories and reduces the effects of wind drift giving hunters more confidence at extended ranges where windage and bullet drop can otherwise cost a shot. The boat-tail base further trims drag in flight helping the 131 grain bullet retain velocity and energy as range increases which matters for hunters who need dependable expansion on game taken at longer distances. Each box contains 100 bullets providing reloaders with ample supply for load development range sessions and repeat hunting trips without having to restock mid-season. These are component bullets intended strictly for handloading not loaded ammunition making them an ideal choice for hand loaders who want Sierra s trusted accuracy and hunting performance built into their own custom loads. Reloaders working up a .25 caliber hunting load benefit from the consistency Sierra is known for bullet to bullet and box to box which simplifies load development and keeps results repeatable once a load is dialed in. The 131 grain weight sits in a versatile range for .25 caliber cartridges suiting hunters chasing deer-sized and similar game where a controlled-expansion polymer-tipped bullet is the right choice. For reloaders who want a trusted name behind their ammunition without buying loaded rounds the Sierra Tipped GameKing offers a dependable path to building accurate effective hunting loads at home.
