Sierra Tipped GameKing Features The Sierra Tipped GameKing was developed in response to requests from quarter-bore shooters for a medium-heavy weight hunting bullet with a high ballistic coefficient. At 110 grains and a .257 diameter it strikes a balance between flat trajectory and the mass needed for reliable penetration on larger game. The tipped design sharpens the bullet s aerodynamic profile for flatter shooting at extended ranges while also helping initiate expansion more consistently than a plain point. A heavily constructed jacket backs that tip holding the bullet together through impact so it can drive deep into medium and large game animals. Sierra built this bullet to perform across most .25 caliber cartridges recommending a 1x10 twist rate or faster for proper stabilization with older 250-3000 rifles noted as an exception. Packaged 100 bullets to a box it gives handloaders a practical quantity for developing and refining dedicated hunting loads. The sectional density and ballistic coefficient figures published by Sierra reflect a bullet engineered specifically for long-range energy retention rather than a generic projectile. For reloaders chambered in .25 caliber rifles the Sierra Tipped GameKing offers a purpose-built option for medium and large game hunting.
