Sierra Bullets Sports Master Features The Sierra Bullets Sports Master line is built around a Jacketed Hollow Point profile designed to deliver dependable expansion across a range of handgun applications. At 185 grains and a .451 inch diameter this bullet is sized for standard .45 caliber handloading projects giving reloaders a known repeatable component to build consistent ammunition around. The jacketed lead non-tipped construction keeps the core and jacket working together through impact supporting controlled expansion rather than fragmentation. This profile makes the bullet a practical choice for shooters loading rounds intended for personal defense or big game hunting applications where terminal performance matters. Each box ships with 100 bullets giving handloaders enough component material to work up and test multiple loads before settling on a final recipe. Sierra s reputation for consistent bullet weight and dimensional accuracy helps reloaders achieve more uniform velocities and groups compared to less consistent projectiles. Because these are bullets only shooters will need to supply their own brass primers and propellant to complete a finished cartridge. Target shooters and hunters alike who handload their own .45 caliber ammunition will find the Sports Master a reliable foundation for building ammunition tailored to their specific firearm and application.
