Sierra Pro-Hunter Features The Sierra Pro-Hunter hollow point boat tail bullet is engineered to mirror the profile and external dimensions of the classic Sierra MatchKing design allowing reloaders to move between target and hunting loads without re-adjusting their seating die. At 77 grains with a .224 inch diameter this bullet is sized for .22 caliber rifle cartridges commonly used for both competitive shooting and varmint or predator hunting. Its hollow point design is engineered for reliable expansion at midrange velocities giving hunters dependable terminal performance without sacrificing the accuracy Sierra bullets are known for. A G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.477 and G7 ballistic coefficient of 0.242 provide excellent in-flight performance comparable to its MatchKing counterpart. Constructed from jacketed lead in a non-tipped boat tail configuration the Pro-Hunter is built for shooters who want tougher construction and reliable penetration at closer to medium ranges. This flat base boat tail design is well suited to moderate velocities and shorter barrels where extreme long range performance is not the primary concern. Each box contains 500 bullets giving dedicated reloaders a substantial supply for load development and high volume shooting. Whether ringing steel at the range or pursuing game in the field Sierra s Pro-Hunter line proves shooters do not have to sacrifice precision for dependable hunting performance.
