Sierra Tipped MatchKing Features Sierra s Tipped MatchKing line takes the proven MatchKing bullet and adds an acetal resin tip engineered to reduce aerodynamic drag throughout the bullet s flight. This tip design improves ballistic efficiency over the original hollow point MatchKing resulting in flatter trajectories and reduced wind drift at extended ranges. The jacketed lead construction maintains the accuracy standards handloaders have come to expect from the MatchKing name over decades of competitive use. At 115 to 117 grains in 6mm diameter .243 inches these bullets are well suited to the cartridges and rifles common in precision rifle and long range competition. The acetal tip also protects the exposed core from deformation during handling and magazine feeding keeping the meplat consistent from bullet to bullet and preserving the ballistic coefficient that long range shooters depend on for repeatable drop and drift calculations. The polymer tip also improves reliable feeding in magazine fed rifles an advantage over traditional hollow point projectiles that can sometimes hang up during cycling. Each box contains 100 bullets giving reloaders enough projectiles to work through load development and still have a supply for matches. Sierra specifically designs Tipped MatchKing bullets for target shooting applications and the bullets are not recommended for most hunting use given their construction. The jacketed lead design and tipped profile make these bullets a natural fit for reloaders who already trust Sierra s MatchKing jackets and simply want the added consistency and drag reduction the tip provides. For precision rifle shooters and competitive handloaders working in 6mm Sierra Tipped MatchKing bullets offer a proven path to consistent accurate results on the range or in competition.
