Sierra Tipped GameKing Features The Sierra Tipped GameKing uses a jacketed lead construction paired with a boat tail base to maintain a high ballistic coefficient as the bullet travels downrange. That boat tail shape reduces base drag which helps the 150 grain 7mm / .284 bullet retain velocity and resist both crosswinds and vertical winds better than a flat base design. The synthetic tip at the nose further sharpens the aerodynamic profile while also acting as a wedge on impact initiating expansion that a plain spitzer point would be slower to start. Together these elements give handloaders a bullet engineered specifically around flight efficiency and terminal performance. Sierra designed the Tipped GameKing for a balance of penetration and expansion suited to medium and heavy game animals within the 7mm class. The jacketed lead core is built to hold together through impact while still opening reliably giving hunters confidence at a range of practical hunting distances. Packaged 500 to a box this bullet gives serious handloaders enough volume to develop and refine a load without frequent reordering. For reloaders assembling dedicated big game ammunition the Sierra Tipped GameKing delivers the accuracy and controlled expansion that a quarter-century of GameKing development has built a reputation on.
