"Men's Altra® Torin 9: The Men's Altra Torin 9 is a neutral road running shoe built for daily training and long runs, and it's a strong choice if you want serious cushioning without giving up a natural, grounded feel. The P35X™ dual density foam sits firmer on the outside and softer on the inside, which means you get a stable base underfoot while still feeling that soft, cushioned ride mile after mile. Add in Altra's Zero Drop platform - equal stack height in the heel and forefoot - and the Torin 9 encourages a more natural foot position and stride from start to finish. The FootShape™ toe box gives your toes room to splay naturally, which helps create a more comfortable, stable platform with every step - especially useful on longer efforts when foot fatigue starts to set in. The Vibram® XS Run AW rubber outsole is approximately 20% grippier than the Torin 8 outsole, so you get reliable traction and durability on road surfaces. The updated breathable mesh upper features elevated tongue details and a redesigned heel shape that make the shoe feel secure and comfortable from the moment you put it on. At 9.8 ounces with a 28 mm / 28 mm stack height, this is a shoe that prioritizes comfort and natural movement for the miles that matter most. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I took the Torin 9 out for a long run and noticed right away how the foam felt soft underfoot without making the ride feel unstable. The wide toe box is the real deal - my toes had room to spread out naturally, and by the end of the run my feet felt way less fatigued than usual."" - Dave, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, San Diego, CAWho It's Best ForIf you're a neutral runner who logs daily miles on the road and wants a cushioned, natural-feeling ride, the Torin 9 is worth a serious look.
