"Men's Altra® Escalante 4: The Men's Altra Escalante 4 is a neutral running shoe that brings a natural, low-to-the-ground feel to your daily miles. With a zero-drop platform and the FootShape™ Fit that Altra is known for, it lets your feet sit in a more natural position from heel to toe - giving you a relaxed, unrestricted stride whether you're logging easy runs or working through a mid-week tempo effort. At 9.3 ounces, it's light enough to move with you without feeling like it's holding you back. The Altra EGO™ midsole foam provides a responsive, springy feel underfoot, so each step has some energy behind it without sacrificing cushioning. The 24 mm stack height front-to-back keeps the ride consistent and mid-level - cushioned enough for longer runs, but not so soft that you lose ground feel. The engineered mesh upper keeps airflow moving through the shoe and holds up well over time, so comfort doesn't fade as the miles add up. If you're a neutral runner with medium to high arches who wants a shoe that feels natural and stays light, the Escalante 4 is worth a close look. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I put these on for a longer easy run and noticed right away how natural the foot position feels with the zero-drop setup. The EGO™ foam has a nice snap to it - not mushy, just enough cushion to take the edge off without making the shoe feel heavy. Runners who are curious about zero-drop but want real cushioning under them will find a good balance here."" - Michael, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, Seattle WAWho It's Best ForThe Escalante 4 is a strong fit for neutral runners who want a zero-drop, FootShape™ Fit running shoe for daily training and easy to moderate-distance runs.
