"Women's Altra® Vanish Carbon 2: The Altra Vanish Carbon 2 is a carbon-plated road racing shoe built for women who want a fast, natural ride on race day. With a 0mm heel-to-toe drop and a foot-shaped toe box, it keeps your stride low to the ground and lets your foot move the way it naturally wants to - which is a real differentiator in the carbon racing shoe category. The Altra EgoPRO midsole is Altra's lightest and most responsive foam compound, designed to feel resilient and hyper-responsive underfoot. A segmented carbon fiber plate is embedded in the forefoot and midfoot with a 3-pronged design that adapts through the gait cycle - smooth and flexible on landing, then stiff and snappy at toe-off. The Slim FootShape upper keeps things narrow and race-ready while still giving your toes room to splay naturally. A strategically placed rubber outsole adds traction and durability without adding unnecessary weight, so you get the grip you need through fast turns without feeling like you're carrying extra on your feet. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""What I love about the Vanish Carbon 2 is that it actually feels like an Altra - that wide toe box is still there even in a race shoe. The carbon plate gives you that snappy toe-off, but the 0mm drop keeps everything feeling grounded and natural. If you've been running in Altra's for training, this is a really smooth transition into a race-day shoe."" - Hallie, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, Phoenix AZWho It's Best ForIf you're a neutral runner who races roads and wants a carbon-plated shoe that doesn't force you into a traditional heel-to-toe geometry, the Vanish Carbon 2 is worth a serious look. It's a strong fit for Altra loyalists stepping up to a race shoe, as well as runners who prefer a zero-drop platform and a foot-shaped fit but still want the performance edge of a carbon fiber plate. VIP Family members can take the Vanish Carbon 2 for a 90-Day test drive with our Perfect Fit Guarantee."
