Sierra Tipped Gameking Features The Sierra Gameking bullet in 7mm uses a thicker jacket specifically engineered to control expansion at the wide range of velocities a 7mm cartridge can generate from compact 7mm-08 loads up to full power magnums. A sleek ogive shape paired with a polymer resin tip improves the bullet s ballistic coefficient helping it retain velocity and resist wind drift over long range shots. At 1635 feet per second and above this bullet carries a ballistic coefficient of .545 stepping down to .520 between 1400 and 1635 fps and .470 below 1400 fps numbers that reflect careful engineering across its entire flight envelope. The open pocket beneath the polymer tip allows the lead core to expand instantly and reliably on impact delivering dependable terminal performance on game. A boat tail design at the base of the bullet improves aerodynamic stability during flight contributing to tighter groups at extended distances compared to flat base designs. Weighing 140 grains with a diameter of .284 inches and a sectional density of .248 this bullet strikes a strong balance between penetration and expansion for medium to large game. Sierra s jacketed lead construction has long been trusted by reloaders for its consistency from lot to lot a critical factor when developing precision handloads. Packaged 100 to a box this bullet gives 7mm reloaders a dependable accurate option for both hunting and long range target shooting applications.
