Sierra Tipped MatchKing Features The Sierra Tipped MatchKing bullet builds on the reputation of Sierra s original MatchKing line by adding a proprietary acetal resin tip designed to reduce drag and improve ballistic efficiency. This .22 caliber .224 inch diameter bullet weighs 88 grains a heavy-for-caliber weight that reflects growing demand from shooters wanting flatter trajectories and reduced wind drift at extended ranges. The resin tip also improves feeding reliability in magazine-fed rifles an important consideration for shooters running semi-automatic platforms in competition. Jacketed lead construction ensures consistent weight and material quality bullet to bullet a critical factor for repeatable accuracy. Sierra designed the Tipped MatchKing specifically for target and match shooting applications and the company does not recommend it for most hunting uses. Each box contains 500 bullets giving competitive shooters and dedicated reloaders a substantial supply for extensive load development and practice sessions. The ogive dimension changes incorporated into this bullet s design further enhance its ballistic coefficient translating into tighter groups and more predictable performance downrange. For shooters who demand Sierra s proven accuracy with the added benefits of a polymer tip the Tipped MatchKing is a dependable choice for serious match-grade reloading.
