Forster Products No Go Length Head Space Gage Features The Forster No Go Length Head Space Gage is machined to exacting SAAMI specifications giving gunsmiths a precise trustworthy tool for verifying that a 6.5 Grendel rifle chamber falls within safe headspace tolerances. Headspace refers to the distance between the face of the breech and the base of the cartridge when the action is closed and excessive headspace can allow unsupported brass to rupture during firing sending gas blowing rearward like rocket exhaust. If a rifle s bolt closes on this No Go gauge it signals the chamber may be cut beyond the ideal dimension prompting further evaluation with a Field gauge to confirm whether the firearm remains safe to shoot. Most gunsmiths aim to chamber a rifle s headspace somewhere between the Go and No Go dimensions making this gauge an essential part of that verification process. Crafted from hardened steel this gauge is built to withstand repeated use in a shop environment without losing the precision that makes it trustworthy. Its compact size measuring 1.34 long and .43 in diameter makes it easy to store alongside other chamber-checking tools. Gunsmiths rely on headspace gauges like this one when chambering new barrels performing routine maintenance or evaluating a used firearm before a customer purchase. For anyone serious about verifying chamber safety in a 6.5 Grendel rifle the Forster No Go Length Head Space Gage is a dependable precision-made tool.
