Forster Products 6.5 PRC No Go Headspace Gage Features The Forster 6.5 PRC No Go Headspace Gage is machined to strict SAAMI tolerances giving gunsmiths and reloaders a precise repeatable reference for checking chamber dimensions. Headspace is the distance between the breech face and the base of the cartridge when the action is closed and getting it wrong can lead to case ruptures or excessive wear. This No Go gage checks that a 6.5 PRC chamber does not exceed the maximum recommended headspace and the action should not fully close on it. Built from hardened steel the gage holds its dimensional accuracy through repeated use on the bench. Dropping the gage into the chamber and observing how the action closes gives an immediate read on chamber condition without firing a single round. This is especially valuable when chambering a new barrel or evaluating a used rifle before committing match-grade handloads to it. Pairing this No Go gage with a corresponding GO gage gives a complete picture of where a particular chamber falls within SAAMI tolerance. For any bench dealing in 6.5 PRC this gage is a small reliable tool that settles a significant safety and accuracy question before the first shot is fired.
