Faxon Firearms Big Gunner Pistol Length Barrel Features The Faxon Firearms Big Gunner pistol-length barrel is chambered in 8.6 Blackout and cut with a fast 1:3 inch twist rate matched to stabilize the heavier longer bullets this cartridge is designed around. Button rifling is used in production a process known for producing exceptionally consistent bore dimensions and strong accuracy potential compared to other rifling methods. At 12 inches long the pistol-length barrel suits compact AR-10 platform pistol builds where overall length and handling matter as much as ballistic performance. An 11 inch target crown protects the muzzle s rifling from dings and helps maintain consistent accuracy over the barrel s service life. Machined from stainless steel and finished with a bead blasted exterior the Big Gunner resists corrosion while presenting a matte non-reflective surface suited to tactical builds. The barrel is threaded to accept muzzle devices for the 8.6 Blackout cartridge and an adapter is included to simplify installation of compatible accessories. At a diameter of 0.875 inches and weighing 2.2 pounds the barrel balances rigidity with a manageable weight for a pistol-length AR-10 build. For builders working with the 8.6 Blackout cartridge the Faxon Big Gunner offers a precision-made barrel matched specifically to this growing platform.
