Thompson Center T17 Features The Thompson Center Arms T17 Foaming Bore Cleaner is specifically engineered for traditional black powder and black powder substitute fouling which can be more stubborn and corrosive than standard smokeless powder residue. The foaming action penetrates even heavily caked on fouling working its way into pitting and grooves without requiring extensive brushing beforehand. In addition to black powder residue the formula also targets plastic copper and lead deposits that build up from sabots and bullets deposits that can degrade accuracy if left unaddressed. Simply spraying the solvent into the bore and allowing it to sit for an hour lets the foaming agent do the bulk of the cleaning work. After the foam has had time to work a final wipe down removes the loosened fouling and leaves the bore noticeably cleaner than traditional brushing alone. The cleaner also deposits a micro thin protective film that guards against rust and corrosion between range sessions or hunts. Packaged in a convenient 7 oz aerosol can the T17 is compact enough to carry in a range bag or cleaning kit.
