Sierra Tipped MatchKing Features The Sierra Tipped MatchKing bullet in 22 Cal pairs Sierra s established MatchKing accuracy pedigree with a polymer tip that reshapes the ogive for a noticeably higher ballistic coefficient. The acetyl resin tip resists the deformation that can occur with an exposed open tip under recoil or in a magazine keeping the meplat consistent from round to round. That consistency translates directly into tighter long-range groups since a uniform meplat produces more predictable drag and flight characteristics downrange. At 88 grains this bullet suits shooters loading heavier for caliber projectiles in fast twist barrels for extended range work. Sierra developed the Tipped MatchKing line specifically to answer demand for heavier higher BC options in popular calibers carrying forward the same tight manufacturing tolerances found across the MatchKing family. The refined ogive geometry reduces aerodynamic drag throughout the bullet s flight which helps maintain velocity retention at extended distances. Packaged 100 to the box this quantity gives handloaders enough bullets to properly work up and test a load. Precision rifle competitors and long-range hunters developing match-grade ammunition will find this bullet well suited to their reloading bench.
