Sierra Tipped GameKing Features The Sierra Tipped GameKing was introduced to give handloaders a heavier option for the 6.5mm bore built specifically around the high velocity potential of cartridges like the 6.5 PRC. At 145 grains and a .264 diameter the bullet carries a G1 ballistic coefficient of .597 which flattens trajectory and resists wind drift at extended ranges. The polymer tip initiates reliable expansion on impact while the boat tail profile reduces drag through flight a combination that keeps the bullet stable and accurate well past typical hunting distances. For the long range big game hunter that pairing of a high B.C. and controlled expansion is exactly what turns a marginal shot into a clean ethical one. The jacketed lead core construction is built for consistent accuracy from lot to lot which matters to any reloader chasing repeatable groups at the bench. Each box holds 100 bullets giving the handloader enough component bullets to develop a load and then run it through extensive range testing before a hunt. These are component projectiles only meant to be seated by the reloader and not sold as loaded ammunition. Sierra s reputation for match grade consistency carries through to this hunting bullet making the Tipped GameKing a dependable choice for anyone loading for a 6.5mm big game rifle.
