Sierra Tipped GameKing Features The Sierra Tipped GameKing in 6.5mm was introduced to give the 6.5 PRC and similar cartridges a bullet built for the reach those rounds are capable of. At 145 grains and a bullet diameter of .264 inches the design balances enough mass for deep penetration with a G1 ballistic coefficient of .597 that keeps the bullet flying flat and resisting wind drift at extended ranges. The polymer tip protects the jacket s meplat during feeding and initiates expansion on impact producing the kind of accuracy and performance Sierra is known for in a true long range hunting projectile. Reloaders feeding a 6.5 PRC finally have a bullet matched to what the cartridge can do. Each box holds 500 bullets giving dedicated handloaders enough projectiles to develop a load and run it through a full hunting season without restocking. The jacketed lead core construction is built to Sierra s demanding manufacturing tolerances so lot to lot consistency stays tight from box to box. That consistency translates directly into predictable accuracy at the reloading bench and confidence on the range before a hunt. Big game hunters and long range shooters working up loads for 6.5mm cartridges will find the Tipped GameKing a dependable foundation for serious accuracy work.
