Sierra Tipped VarmintKing Features The Sierra Tipped VarmintKing pairs a proprietary polymer tip with a thin jacket to deliver explosive expansion at impact a design purpose-built for varmint and predator hunting. That thin jacket lets the bullet open up rapidly on lightly built game maximizing energy transfer and minimizing the chance of pass-through without sufficient terminal effect. The polymer tip also improves the bullet s ballistic coefficient compared to a traditional soft point which helps it buck wind and retain velocity downrange. Sierra builds these projectiles with MatchKing-level precision so accuracy is not sacrificed in pursuit of rapid expansion. Each bullet measures .224 inches in diameter and weighs 69 grains a combination suited to high-velocity .22 caliber varmint cartridges commonly used at extended ranges. The copper jacket and lead core construction is optimized for muzzle velocities up to 4400 feet per second allowing reloaders to push these bullets hard without jacket failure. Packaged 100 to the box the Tipped VarmintKing gives serious varmint and predator hunters a dependable supply for high-volume reloading. These are component bullets intended strictly for handloading and require separate brass primers and powder to complete a cartridge.
