Sierra GameKing TGK Features The Sierra GameKing Tipped GameKing bullet is built to be tough enough for heavy-duty big game work delivering hard-hitting terminal performance from the .270 Cal platform. At 175 grains and a diameter of .277 inches this bullet s long profile requires a 1:8 inch or faster twist rate to stabilize properly in flight a detail handloaders need to check against their own rifle s barrel. That extra length is what drives the bullet s unusually high ballistic coefficients rated at .560 above 1900 fps .530 between 1570 and 1900 fps and .485 below 1570 fps. A sectional density of .326 further contributes to deep penetration on tough heavy game. Those high ballistic coefficients make the bullet notably efficient in flight retaining velocity and energy better than a shorter blunter design of the same weight as range increases. This translates directly into a higher impact velocity at distance which matters for hunters taking shots beyond typical woods ranges. While the .270 Winchester is the classic home for this bullet weight the same 175 grain GameKing is equally at home in any magnum cartridge sharing the .277 inch bore diameter. Sold in a 100-count box for handloaders the Sierra GameKing TGK is available for sale at GrabAGun for hunters loading their own precision big game ammunition.
