Sierra MatchKing Features The Sierra MatchKing 107 grain bullet in 6mm has a long track record in competitive shooting having set records and won national championships across disciplines like National Match High Power and Silhouette. Its hollow point boat tail design with a .243 inch bullet diameter is engineered specifically for the kind of extreme accuracy those competitions demand at long range. Reloaders building precision loads have relied on this bullet for consistency shot after shot when charge weights and seating depth are properly dialed in. A barrel twist rate of 1 in 8 inches or faster is required to properly stabilize this bullet in flight so reloaders should confirm their barrel specifications before loading. Though MatchKing and Tipped MatchKing bullets are sometimes used for varmint hunting Sierra notes they will not produce the same reliable explosive expansion at equivalent velocities as bullets purpose built for hunting such as their Hornet Blitz or Varminter lines. This makes the MatchKing better suited to target and competition use rather than hunting applications where rapid expansion is the goal. Packed 250 bullets to a box this component bullet gives high volume reloaders a substantial supply for load development and competition practice. These are components for handloading only and do not constitute finished ammunition. The Sierra MatchKing 6mm bullet is for sale at GrabAGun for precision reloaders and competitive shooters.
