Great Lakes Firearms and Ammunition GL-15 Features The Great Lakes Firearms GL-15 pairs a .223 Wylde chamber with a 7.5 heavy profile barrel machined from 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel and finished in nitride for durability and corrosion resistance. A 1:8 twist rate stabilizes a wide range of bullet weights giving the shooter flexibility whether running lighter varmint loads or heavier 5.56 projectiles. The 1/2x28 threaded muzzle carries an included brake angled six degrees forward to help manage muzzle rise across rapid strings of fire. M4 feed ramps and a black oxide 0.750 gas block keep the pistol-length gas system cycling reliably shot after shot. Billet aluminum 7075 upper and lower receivers wear a Tungsten Gray Cerakote finish giving the GL-15 a rugged understated look that resists wear from field use. The 7.125 aluminum 6061 M-LOK handguard carries a full top Picatinny rail giving the shooter room to add optics lights or a foregrip wherever the build calls for it. The G-Force GFAB001 Ace of Brace adjustable 5-position brace lets the shooter tailor the fit to their preferred stance and the Mil-Spec trigger breaks consistently at 5.5 to 6 lbs. At 5 lbs and 23.5 overall the GL-15 delivers a lightweight well-finished AR pistol suited to home defense range work or recreational shooting.
