Great Lakes Firearms and Ammunition GL15 Features The Great Lakes Firearms GL15 is built around a 7.5 heavy barrel machined from chrome moly vanadium steel treated with a black nitride finish and cut with a 1:8 twist to stabilize a wide range of 5.56 / .223 Rem loads. The barrel is threaded 1/2x28 and fitted with a forward-tightened muzzle brake to help tame recoil and muzzle rise during rapid strings of fire. A direct impingement gas system running through a .750 gas block keeps the action cycling reliably while the M4 feed ramps on the forged aluminum upper smooth out feeding from the included 30-round magazine. The mil-spec trigger breaks at a consistent 5.5 to 6 lbs giving shooters a predictable press for both defensive and range work. The billet 7075 aluminum lower and upper receivers wear a White Cerakote finish that stands out from a typical black rifle while still delivering Cerakote s durability against wear and the elements. A 7.125 M-LOK handguard with a full top Picatinny rail keeps the profile slim for one-handed maneuvering while leaving room to mount a light sling point or foregrip along the rail sections. The adjustable five-position Ace of Brace pistol brace lets shooters set the length that fits their build and shooting style and the mil-spec polymer grip keeps the overall package light at just 5 lbs. With no iron sights included the top rail is ready to accept a red dot or magnified optic straight out of the box making the Great Lakes Firearms GL15 White a compact capable AR pistol platform for range days home defense and short-range work.
