Thompson Center Arms Encore ProHunter Barrel Features The Thompson Center Arms Encore ProHunter barrel is machined from stainless steel and fluted along its length to reduce weight while preserving the barrel wall thickness needed for consistent repeatable accuracy. Chambered in .22 ARC the barrel gives Encore owners access to a modern high-performance cartridge without the cost of purchasing an entirely new rifle. A 1:8 twist rate stabilizes the heavier-for-caliber bullets common to the .22 ARC cartridge for flatter trajectories at extended ranges. Every barrel leaves the factory only after being test-fired at 100 yards to verify it meets Thompson Center s accuracy standard. Designed as a direct swap for the Encore action this barrel requires no gunsmithing and installs using the same interchangeable-barrel system that has made the Encore platform popular among hunters who want to run multiple cartridges from one receiver. The stainless steel finish resists corrosion in wet or humid hunting conditions better than a standard blued barrel. Threaded 5/8-24 at the muzzle the barrel accepts a suppressor or muzzle brake to manage recoil and report for the shooter s application. Compatible only with Encore series rifles and not Contender or G2 Contender frames the Thompson Center Arms Encore ProHunter barrel delivers an easy cartridge upgrade for sale at GrabAGun.
