Colt Firearms Combat Commander Oscuro y Oro Features The Colt Firearms Combat Commander Oscuro y Oro is chambered in .38 Super and built on Colt s proven single-action 1911 platform running a 4.25-inch barrel with a 1-in-14 twist rate for reliable accuracy at typical defensive and competition distances. The slide and frame are finished with a high polish and accented by a gold inlay with PVD gold parts giving the pistol a striking visual presence rarely seen on a factory Colt. Fixed Novak sights up front pair with a brass bead rear in some configurations delivering a dependable sight picture for quick target acquisition. A 9-round magazine capacity keeps the pistol in line with traditional single-stack 1911 proportions while an extended thumb safety offers a familiar ergonomic manual of arms. Engraving work on this pistol draws from Mexican-influenced design featuring deep full leaf scroll patterns cut into the slide alongside a gold rampant Colt positioned behind the serrations. Black Kirinite grip panels are fitted with a gold pony medallion tying the black and gold theme together across the entire pistol. Each example in this edition carries an OYO serial suffix marking it as part of a limited run of only 500 pistols. For collectors building a serialized Colt collection or 1911 enthusiasts wanting a standout TALO exclusive the Combat Commander Oscuro y Oro offers a rare combination of Colt s proven platform and genuinely eye-catching custom artwork.
