Colt Firearms 1911 Government Dinosaur Meteorite Features The Colt 1911 Government Dinosaur Meteorite centers its appeal on AAA grade dinosaur engraving applied across the slide safety and slide stop giving the pistol a one-of-a-kind artistic presentation within the Altamont Special Edition line. Despite the elaborate engraving the pistol retains the external hammer-fired single-action operation that has defined the 1911 platform for over a century. A 5 inch rifled barrel delivers the accuracy 1911 shooters have come to expect feeding from a single-stack 7-round magazine true to the original Government model configuration. Thumb and grip safeties provide the traditional dual-safety system 1911 shooters rely on for safe carry and handling. Finished entirely in Stainless Steel across the frame this pistol resists corrosion while providing a bright reflective canvas that highlights the dinosaur meteorite engraving pattern. Polished faux ivory grips complement the engraved metalwork giving the pistol a cohesive collectible appearance from grip to muzzle. A blade front sight paired with a fixed rear sight offers a traditional sighting arrangement appropriate to the pistol s classic styling. Weighing 35 oz and including a cable trigger lock for secure storage the Colt 1911 Government Dinosaur Meteorite is available for sale at GrabAGun for collectors seeking a distinctive artfully finished 1911.
