Berry s Manufacturing Superior Plated Features Berry s Superior Plated bullets begin as a swaged lead core that is electroplated with copper to its final weight a process that leaves no lead exposed on the bullet s surface. This 180 grain flat point bullet measuring .401 inches in diameter fits both .40 S&W and 10mm pistol cartridges giving reloaders flexibility to use the same bullet across two popular calibers. After plating each bullet is re-struck to precise specifications ensuring a solid bond between the copper jacket and lead core along with consistent dimensions from bullet to bullet. This manufacturing process delivers the kind of reliable repeatable performance reloaders expect from a quality bonded projectile. The thick plate construction used on this flat point bullet provides extra durability through the loading chambering and firing process helping maintain bullet integrity under the pressures generated by .40 S&W and 10mm loads. Because these bullets leave no exposed lead they are safe for use at indoor ranges that restrict lead exposed ammunition making them a practical choice for shooters who train indoors regularly. It is worth noting clearly that these are component bullets only and not loaded ammunition requiring the reloader to supply brass powder and primers separately. Packaged 250 to the box this quantity gives pistol reloaders a solid supply for regular range sessions and ammunition production.
