Berry s Manufacturing RN Features The Berry s Mfg Superior Plated RN bullet is swaged to its final shape and then plated to final weight a process that seals the lead core under a durable copper jacket so it will not foul the bore the way bare lead projectiles can. The round nose profile feeds smoothly through semi-automatic pistol actions making it a reliable choice for reloaders loading high volumes of .40 SW or 10mm ammunition for the range. At .401 inches in diameter and 180 grains this bullet is matched precisely to the shared bore diameter of the .40 Smith and Wesson and 10mm Auto cartridges giving reloaders flexibility across both chamberings with one projectile. Berry s re-strikes every bullet after plating to tighten dimensional consistency which helps reloaders achieve more uniform accuracy from load to load. With a rated maximum velocity of 1 250 feet per second this bullet covers the needs of most standard pressure .40 SW and 10mm practice loads without pushing past the plated jacket s limits. Reloaders working up loads should reference the SAAMI maximum overall cartridge lengths of 1.135 inches for .40 SW and 1.250 inches for 10mm to stay within safe seating depths. The large 1000 count box size makes this bullet an economical choice for shooters who reload in bulk for regular range sessions or competition practice. Because the plated construction avoids the lead fouling associated with bare lead bullets cleaning intervals stay shorter even after extended high volume reloading and shooting sessions.
