Aimpoint CompM5, 2 MOA Red Dot, AR15 Ready LRP Mount, 39mm Spacer, Black The Aimpoint CompM5 is a 1X, non-magnifying red dot reflex sight with a 2 MOA aiming point, built for patrol rifles, AR-15 carbines, shotguns and other long guns. This listing is Aimpoint part number 200386, supplied with the LRP (Lever Release Picatinny) mount with 39 mm spacer, finished in Black. Like every Aimpoint sight, it is operationally parallax-free: the dot stays parallel to the bore no matter where your eye sits behind the window, so if the dot is on the target, so is your zero. In the box you get: LRP mount and 39 mm spacer, flip-up lens covers, AAA battery, Micro tool. Add the Aimpoint CompM5 2 MOA sight to your cart at BattleHawk Armory and set your firearm up with an optic that professionals have trusted for decades. 2 MOA Aiming Point and Daylight-Bright Clarity The 2 MOA dot is the heart of the CompM5. A dot this size covers little of the target at distance for precise shots while staying easy to pick up quickly at close range. The sight offers 4 night vision compatible settings and 6 daylight settings, so you can turn the dot down for use behind night vision devices or up for bright sunlight. Night vision compatibility makes it a natural fit for low-light and professional use. Battery Life and Power The CompM5 runs on a single AAA battery and is rated for 50,000 hours (over 5 years) of constant operation on setting 7. In practice, that means many shooters can leave the sight switched on and replace the battery on a set schedule rather than worrying about whether the optic will be ready when it is needed. High battery compartment design. Long run time is one of the main reasons Aimpoint sights are chosen for duty guns, home defense firearms and hunting rifles that need to be ready without fuss. Built Rugged for Hard Use The housing is hard-anodized aluminum alloy, and the sight is submersible to 150 feet (45 meters). Aimpoint designs its sights to stand up to recoil, impacts, weather and temperature swings, which is why so many military, law enforcement and civilian shooters rely on them. Key FeaturesRuns on a single AAA battery, one of the easiest batteries to find anywhere.Recessed lenses with flip-up covers, front solid and rear transparent.New lens coatings sharpen the shape of the 2 MOA dot.Compatible with all generations of night vision devices and the Aimpoint 3XMag-1 and 6XMag-1 magnifiers. Mounting and Fit This configuration comes with a LRP (Lever Release Picatinny) mount with 39 mm spacer. The 39 mm optical axis height puts the dot in lower one-third or absolute co-witness range with standard AR-15 iron sights, depending on the iron sight height. If you want a different height later, Aimpoint offers other mounts and spacers in the same family; see our red dot optic mounts.
