Aimpoint Duty RDS, 2 MOA Red Dot Sight, 39mm Torsion Nut Mount, Black The Aimpoint Duty RDS is a 1X, non-magnifying red dot reflex sight with a 2 MOA aiming point, built for patrol rifles, AR-15 carbines, shotguns and other long guns. This listing is Aimpoint part number 200759, supplied with the one-piece torsion nut mount, 39 mm, finished in Black. Like every Aimpoint sight, it is operationally parallax-free: the dot stays parallel to the bore no matter where your eye sits behind the window, so if the dot is on the target, so is your zero. In the box you get: One-piece torsion nut mount and spacer, flip-up lens covers, CR2032 battery, Allen T10 wrench. Add the Aimpoint Duty RDS 2 MOA sight to your cart at BattleHawk Armory and set your firearm up with an optic that professionals have trusted for decades. 2 MOA Aiming Point and Daylight-Bright Clarity The 2 MOA dot is the heart of the Duty RDS. A dot this size covers little of the target at distance for precise shots while staying easy to pick up quickly at close range. The sight offers 1 off position, 4 night vision compatible settings and 6 daylight settings, so you can turn the dot down for use behind night vision devices or up for bright sunlight. Night vision compatibility makes it a natural fit for low-light and professional use. Battery Life and Power The Duty RDS runs on a single CR2032 battery and is rated for 30,000 hours (over 3 years) of constant operation on setting 7. In practice, that means many shooters can leave the sight switched on and replace the battery on a set schedule rather than worrying about whether the optic will be ready when it is needed. Long run time is one of the main reasons Aimpoint sights are chosen for duty guns, home defense firearms and hunting rifles that need to be ready without fuss. Built Rugged for Hard Use The housing is pressure-forged aluminum alloy, and the sight is submersible to 80 feet (25 meters). Aimpoint designs its sights to stand up to recoil, impacts, weather and temperature swings, which is why so many military, law enforcement and civilian shooters rely on them. Key Features Flush-mounted, waterproof windage and elevation adjustments with audible clicks, so no protective turret caps are needed. Digital keypad brightness controls that are easy to work with gloves. Flip-up lens covers, front solid and rear transparent. Compatible with all generations of night vision devices. Mounting and Fit This configuration comes with a One-piece torsion nut mount, 39 mm. The 39 mm optical axis height puts the dot in lower one-third or absolute co-witness range with standard AR-15 iron sights, depending on the iron sight height. If you want a different height later, Aimpoint offers other mounts and spacers in the same family; see our red dot optic mounts.
