Thompson Center Encore Prohunter Frame Features The Thompson Center Arms Encore Prohunter Frame is machined from stainless steel for corrosion resistance in wet or humid hunting conditions. The break action design allows the barrel to be swapped quickly by removing the forend and tapping out the hinge pin so a single frame can serve as a rifle shotgun or muzzleloader depending on the barrel installed. An automatic hammer block safety keeps the frame secure to carry afield and the patented Swing Hammer gives a low profile cocking surface that stays clear of brush and gear. Nitride coated trigger and sear components along with a nitride coated firing pin and bushing add wear resistance to the frame s internal parts. The black FlexTech synthetic stock and rubber grip combine comfort with a durable weather resistant surface that holds up to repeated field use. A forend is included with the frame rounding out the package needed to mount a compatible Encore barrel. This versatility makes the Encore Prohunter Frame a practical foundation for hunters who already own or plan to add multiple Encore barrels in different calibers. Backed by Thompson Center s long history of break action innovation this frame delivers a dependable adaptable base for nearly any big game or small game pursuit.
