Desert Tech WLVRN Features The Desert Tech WLVRN inherits its barrel mounting and clamping mechanism from the SRS and HTI family of precision rifles with the system machined directly into the receiver. This integrated design significantly increases the stiffness of the upper receiver which Desert Tech states improves the WLVRN s accuracy by up to 30 percent over earlier platforms. Its gas piston operating system cycles a 16 inch Black Melonite treated barrel built from chrome moly vanadium steel with a 1:10 twist rate. A threaded 5/8x24 muzzle fitted with a ratchet compensator helps manage recoil and muzzle rise during rapid strings of fire. The Tungsten Cerakote finished receiver includes an integral Picatinny rail for mounting optics while the M-LOK handguard provides attachment points for lights lasers and other accessories. A Black polymer chassis and Black polymer grip keep the rifle light without sacrificing durability and the ambidextrous controls let shooters run the WLVRN from either shoulder. The mil-spec trigger breaks at roughly 4 pounds giving a consistent predictable pull for precision work. Feeding from a 20 round AR15/M4 pattern magazine with a 30 round maximum capacity the Desert Tech WLVRN is built for shooters who want bullpup compactness without giving up semi-automatic performance.
