Desert Tech WLVRN Features The Desert Tech WLVRN uses a gas operated semi automatic action housed in an integrated receiver where the barrel mounting system is machined directly into the upper a design that significantly increases receiver stiffness over traditional barrel nut assemblies. This added rigidity is credited with improving accuracy by up to 30 percent a meaningful gain for a bullpup platform competing against standard length rifles. The 20 inch chrome moly vanadium barrel wears a black nitride finish and a 1:10 twist rate paired with a ratchet compensator that helps tame recoil from the .308 Win / 7.62 NATO chambering. A 5/8x24 thread pattern under the compensator gives shooters the option to run a suppressor once the factory muzzle device is removed. Despite its 30 inch overall length the WLVRN feeds from a 10+1 capacity magazine and carries ambidextrous safety controls for use by right or left handed shooters alike. The aluminum receiver wears a black cerakote finish and an integrated Picatinny rail for mounting optics while an M-LOK handguard provides attachment points for lights grips and other accessories. Black polymer furniture includes the stock and grip keeping the package lightweight at 7.63 pounds despite its compact 30 inch overall length. A user adjustable trigger breaking around 4 pounds rounds out a package built for shooters who want rifle caliber performance in a shortened maneuverable footprint.
