The Elan Ripstick 96 Ski earns its spot as one of Elan's best-selling all-mountain skis by working for a huge range of skier types and styles without feeling like a compromise for any of them. An Amphibio profile delivers easy-to-engage edgehold and smooth transitions, free of the abrupt catches that can make an edge feel unpredictable. A TubeLite wood core keeps the feel light and maneuverable, while Carbon Deck Technology's carbon rods and flax fiber layup add power and vibration damping without extra weight. What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"I handed this ski to three different skiers on the same day, from a cautious intermediate to someone who skis aggressively, and all three came back saying it felt right for how they ski. The edge engagement is smooth enough that nobody had to fight the ski to get it to do what they wanted."
