Traditions Shedhorn Features The Traditions Shedhorn uses a percussion sidelock action with an external hammer giving traditional muzzleloader hunters the classic operating experience they prefer over inline designs. Its musket cap ignition system reliably ignites loose powder charges offering consistent performance shot after shot in varying weather conditions and standing up to the elements a hunter faces in the field. A double set trigger allows hunters to choose between a standard pull or a lighter hair trigger set for improved precision on a carefully placed shot giving the shooter control over the trigger break to match the situation. The Accelerator Breech Plug simplifies cleaning and maintenance a valuable feature for any muzzleloader that sees regular field use and needs to be kept reliable season after season. The 26 inch Cerakoted chromoly steel barrel is finished in a durable Tungsten Cerakote coating that resists corrosion and wear across repeated hunting seasons in wet or humid conditions. A Desert Web camo synthetic stock provides both concealment in the field and low maintenance durability compared to traditional wood stocks standing up to rough handling without warping or cracking. A peep sight offers a precise adjustable aiming reference suited to the ranges typical of muzzleloader hunting helping the shooter settle a consistent sight picture shot after shot. At 6 pounds the Shedhorn is a manageable well balanced rifle for hunters who want authentic sidelock performance without unnecessary bulk making it easy to carry through a long day in the field while still delivering dependable accuracy when the moment to shoot arrives.
