Traditions NitroBolt Features The Traditions NitroBolt is the world s first bolt action muzzleloader built to use the Federal Premium Firestick encapsulated powder charge giving hunters the same tight tolerances and quality control as loaded ammunition without the mess of loose powder. A patented extractor pulls the spent Firestick cleanly from the breech and the 60 degree bolt handle allows for fast low-effort cycling between shots. The 24 chromoly fluted and tapered barrel carries a 1:24 VAPR twist that better stabilizes bullets in .50 Cal while the free-floating design and pillar bedded stock keep the barrel isolated from stock pressure for consistent accuracy. Three locking lugs and a cocking indicator give the shooter a clear tactile confirmation of the rifle s readiness before taking a shot. The Tungsten Cerakote finish on both barrel and receiver stands up to wet and abrasive field conditions far better than a bare steel finish would and the receiver comes drilled and tapped for a scope base letting hunters mount optics directly out of the box. A 3-position safety adds a manual layer of control beyond the bolt itself and the barrel is threaded 3/4-24 for an optional muzzle brake to help manage recoil. An adjustable cheek piece with 12 positions and length of pull adjustable from 13.75 to 14.5 inches let each hunter dial in a consistent repeatable cheek weld and stock fit.
