Anschutz 1761 Thumbhole Features The Anschutz 1761 Thumbhole is built around a heavy 20 inch barrel with a 1:16.5 twist rate giving shooters the tight consistent groups Anschutz rifles have built their reputation on. The 5061 two-stage light trigger provides a clean predictable break letting shooters focus on sight alignment rather than fighting trigger creep. This attention to the trigger system is a hallmark of the Anschutz lineup and a key reason competitive rimfire shooters favor the brand. A blued metal finish protects the barrel and action while maintaining a classic understated appearance. The walnut thumbhole stock design provides a stable ergonomic hold that helps steady the rifle during offhand or benchrest shooting offering an advantage over a traditional straight stock for shooters who prefer a more locked-in grip. At 6.40 pounds the rifle offers enough weight to dampen movement without becoming tiring to hold over long sessions. A 5-round magazine allows for quick repeat shots without frequent reloading. For rimfire shooters seeking a specialized ergonomic stock paired with genuine Anschutz precision the 1761 Thumbhole is a compelling choice.
